Jason Flamendorf, MD
Jason Flamendorf, MD joins Keystone Eye Associates after completing his residency and glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Flamendorf provides comprehensive eye care with particular expertise in cataract surgery and the full spectrum of glaucoma management. Through his fellowship training, he is well equipped to offer medical and surgical glaucoma treatments, including micro-incisional glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), trabeculectomies, and tube shunts.
Dr. Flamendorf was born in New York City, raised in New Jersey, and is now proud to call Philadelphia home. He is a graduate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. During his time at Mount Sinai, he was selected for a prestigious one-year research fellowship in the NIH’s Medical Research Scholars Program. He completed his medical internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York followed by his training at Wills.
Outside of clinical responsibilities, Dr. Flamendorf is active in medical education and research. He is an attending physician on the Wills Eye Glaucoma Service where he teaches resident physicians and surgeons and is on faculty at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He has been involved in numerous research endeavors leading to publications and presentations at national conferences and has contributed to the upcoming edition of The Wills Eye Manual.
Dr. Flamendorf is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology.
